Based on true events, the movie follows the ghastly story of a group of friends, Erin (Jessica Biel), her boy-friend Kemper (Eric Balfour), Andy (Mike Vogel) and Morgan (Jonathan Tucker), who decide to have a good time and take a journey before they are recruited to serve in Vietnam. On their way to a Lynyrd Skynyrd concert in Dallas, the ill-starred youths pick up a shocked girl who has been pursued by a stranger. Under stress, the girl commits suicide in their van. Looking for the local authorities, they find themselves in a gloomy house with an atrocious clan of Texas cannibals. The youths’ lives are threatened by a chainsaw-wielding madman, Thomas Hewitt (Andrew Bryniarski), known as Leatherface. Is there hope that they will find a way to stay alive? |

It’s a lovely fall day. We become observers of the events that happen throughout the day at an Oregon high school. On the way to school photographer Elias (Elias McConnell) takes some pictures of a punk-rock couple. After football practice Nathan (Nathan Tyson) leaves gym class and meets up with girlfriend Carrie (Carrie Finklea) for lunch. John leaves his dad’s car keys in the school office for his brother to collect. In the cafeteria, Brittany (Brittany Mountain), Jordan (Jordan Taylor) and Nicole (Nicole George) gossip and complain about their mothers’ snooping. Michelle (Kristen Hicks) dashes to the school library for her volunteer work. John (John Robinson) walks out onto the lawn, crossing paths with outsiders Alex (Alex Frost) and Eric (Eric Deulen)... It seems to be an ordinary high school day. Except that it’s not. |

The action takes place in the USA in the 1930s. Grace (Nicole Kidman), a beatiful woman on the run from gangsters, arrives in the small Rocky Mountain town of Dogville. Town philosopher Tom Edison (Paul Bettany) takes her in and convinces the townsfolk to hide her. In exchange for shelter, Grace has to work for the townspeople all hours: she teaches math to the local kids, takes care of the blind old man, helps the apple farmer (Stellan Skarsgård) and the shopkeeper (Lauren Bacall). Eventually, the townspeople, egoistic and ruthless, begin demanding more and more from poor Grace. Tired of working double shifts, Grace decides to leave the town, but the escape fails, and she has to pass through a black ordeal. As a slave she is forced to toil from dawn to dusk, and raped by every man in Dogville night after night. Vincent Sforza works for a research company, and he has been put in charge of locating several people who were part of an old experiment from the 1970s, in which a group of college students were given a dose of a chemical called LOT-6. Apparently, the victims of the experiment have won a class action lawsuit and need to be found so that a check can be issued. Included on the list is teenager Charlene "Charlie" McGee, the child of two of the dead participants in the experiment. When Charlie was a kid, Charlie's mother Vicky was murdered by thugs who worked for the Shop, the corrupt government department that wanted to do experiments on Charlie. Charlie's father Andy was killed by John Rainbird, a killer who had been hired by the shop. Ever since then, Charlie has been in hiding to protect herself. When Vincent finally locates Charlie, he sets into motion a deadly series of events. It turns out that there really isn't a class action lawsuit settlement. It seems that John Rainbird, who was thought to be burned to death, is still alive, scarred from the burns, and nutty as ever — and he's looking for Charlie, because he's still obsessed with her. Rainbird has been using the lie about a class action lawsuit to lure the original LOT-6 experiment's victims out of hiding so these victims can be killed one by one. Charlie gets help from James Richardson, one of the victims of the LOT-6 experiment. The experiment has given James the ability to tell the future. When Vincent discovers that he's been duped into luring Charlie back to Rainbird, Vincent also decides to help Charlie. John's been working on perfecting the LOT experiments, and has created 6 young boys with powerful abilities. One has the power of suggestion, another can sense truth and deception, two can move things with their mind, one has the destructive voice from hell, and the most dangerous is a boy who can suck the life and energy from anybody or anything. And they're after Charlie. Rainbird is also using these children to rob a bank as a test of warfare in the new decade. Now with Vince and James on her side, Charlie must decide whether to keep running, or fight Rainbird to the end. |

This is a remake of the Japan version of "The Ring", which still is a cornerstone of the contemporary horror. A journalist woman named Rachel Keller (Naomi Watts) gets to know that her niece and the friends of the girl have died instantly and inexplicably when they checked a room in a distant motel, during their vacation. Rachel has a son Aidan (David Dorfman), she figures out that a mysterious video tape is involved in this story; these who are dead now, have watched it. Among other things, she resembles some ominous strangeness browsing photos of her dead niece's friends: their faces are uncommonly changed. And having seen the tape which initially seemed an amateurish film peculiar with an unskillful cutting, she realizes that something evil and nightmarishly unavoidable has begun looming over her and her son. Soon after watching the tape containing these various, inexplicably sinister frames she hears her phone ringing, and picks up a receiver only to hear how many days remained for her to live. Now her life is a race against the time, she is to know something about the tape and the horrifying story that lays hidden behind the dust of the past decades, spotting some things around her, the things she have seen watching the cursed cutting. A masterpiece of Gore Verbinski as a director and Naomi Watts as an actress is a prominent remake between the ones of the same genre. |

FBI agent Jake Malloy just can't nail a serial killer who's been targeting cops. The killer has already killed nine cops. The grief sends Malloy off the deep end and causes him to become alcoholic, forcing Malloy's colleague, Detective Hendricks, to sign Malloy up at a remote detox clinic in a snow-covered part of Wyoming. The clinic specializes in rehabilitating alcoholic cops. But the killer murders another patient and assumes the patient's identity at the clinic. While Malloy participates in group therapy sessions, the killer starts killing the patients. Among the endangered patients are Jaworski, Slater, Noah, Conner, and a dozen others, one of whom must be the killer. One by one, the patients start falling prey to the killer and, starting with the facility's director, Doc, the killer starts targeting the staff as well. |
