The Ambassador Hotel, 1968: the assassination of Senator Robert F. Kennedy will soon take place here but none of the hotel residents and employees knows about it yet. Everyone at the hotel is busy with his own affairs, and their paths never seem to cross, not even in this closed space. However, it only seems so and twenty two individuals who will become unwitting witnesses to the tragedy will make a lot of startling discoveries and have strange meetings.

Police officer Edward Malus (Nicolas Cage) gets a letter from his ex-fiancée Willow (Kate Beahan), who left him ten years ago, on the eve of the wedding, without any explanation. In the letter she implores Edward to find her missing daughter, Rowan (Erika-Shaye Gair). Without hesitation, he travels to a remote island inhabited by members of a pagan community ruled by an elderly woman, Sister Summersisle (Ellen Burstyn), and discovers that they are going to sacrifice the young girl during a festival called "the Day of Death and Rebirth" to improve their harvest. The events take a decidedly sinister turn when Edward sets out on his investigation to find the abducted girl and save her life.

Young American woman Aubrey Davis (Amber Tamblyn) falls victim to the same mysterious and relentless supernatural curse known as "The Grudge" that once afflicted her sister Karen (Sarah Michelle Gellar) who still managed to escape the ghost of the abandoned house in Tokyo. But now many people will be infected by the grudge and die a dreadful death. How long will the chain of victims be? Is there a force that can thwart the vengeful ghost?

A lonely hospital doctor, Kate Forster (Sandra Bullock), happens to find her twin soul – a talented but frustrated architect, Alex Wyler (Keanu Reeves). The amazing thing is that he lives in the very same glass house in a lake where she used to live. The two begin exchanging letters and eventually develop a long distance relationship. When Kate and Alex become overwhelmed by the urge to meet each other, they face a very powerful obstacle standing in their way. It turns out that they are living in disparate time periods: he in 2004 and she in 2006. They disclose that the enchanted mailbox outside the lake house is the only link between past and future. Alex and Kate try their darndest to find means to bridge the distance between them.

Stewart Kane (Gabriel Byrne), a happily married 40-something Irishman in the Australian town of Jindabyne, goes on a fishing trip with his pals, Carl (John Howard), Rocco (Stelios Yiakmis) and Billy (Simon Stone). While out on the river, they discover the naked body of a murdered aboriginal girl (Tatea Reilly). Instead of returning to the town immediately, the men decide to stay on at the river and spend two days fishing. When the buddies finally return home and notify their macabre discovery to the police, they face their families' sharp condemnation of their actions. Stewart's wife Claire (Laura Linney) is so disturbed by her husband's callousness that she begins to question their marriage.

A sumptuous mansion in a beautiful place seems to be a Garden of Eden. Dr. and Mrs. Mandrakis (Derek de Lint and Kate Jennings Grant) go away, leaving their two young kids in care of a babysitter, young high school student Jill Johnson (Camilla Belle). "KOKODA!" is an action-adventure drama set in modern day Papua New Guinea. A heavy ion collider experiment in the Midwestern Quantum Research Lab in St. Louis results in the formation of a massive black hole on Earth and death of the chief scientist William Hauser (Kevin Beyer). Shannon Muir (Kristy Swanson) calls in her former colleague and old flame, Eric Bryce (Judd Nelson), to work on the problem. They search through Dr. Hauser's notebooks in the hope of finding a solution how to destroy the black hole. Since childhood ambitious Ricky Bobby (Will Ferrell) has been mad about auto racing, dreaming of following his father's (Gary Cole) steps and becoming a pro. He makes the first step to his dream and starts working on a pit crew as a jackman for a race team. After a U.S. doctor in Morgue (Scott Wilson) orders a South Korean soldier to discharge toxic chemicals into the drain near the Han River in Seoul, a small tadpole grows into a monstrous creature. One day the horrifying mutant (voiced by Dal-su Oh) emerges from the depths of the river onto its bank for a feast of flesh. Among the monster's victims is a teenage girl named Hyun-seo (Ah-sung Ko) whose father Gang-du (Kang-ho Song) fails to rescue her from the clutches of the beast.
