When a big city has a mysterious outbreak of blindness, the victims are quarantined by the government in a hospital without any medical care, treatment or hygiene. Among the first people affected by the so called "white blindness" are an ophthalmologist and his reluctant health wife that has not lost her sight but stays with him to help him in the difficult moment. The place immediately crowds and a group of criminals takes the power, demanding jewels and electronics first and sex later for the limited ratio of food they control.

Hunger follows life in the Maze Prison, Northern Ireland with an interpretation of the highly emotive events surrounding the 1981 IRA Hunger Strike, led by Bobby Sands. With an epic eye for detail, the film provides a timely exploration of what happens when body and mind are pushed to the uttermost limit.

Terry Leather (Jason Statham) is a petty criminal that decided to start a new lawful life. He opens a small car sales business but does not succeed as the debt collectors threaten him. Terry's friend Martine Love (Saffron Burrows) offers him a huge deal — a bank robbery in Baker Street, London. Terry agrees and takes his mates into it, as they had never been on a "real big hit" before. Amateur robbers manage to get into the bank's depository, and that is when they realise it was actually the easiest part and that the whole deal was a well-planned trap. The plot is based on the real 1971 robbery of the Lloyds Bank in Marylebone, London.

Cris Johnson (Nicolas Cage) was born with a special gift to see two minutes into the future and change it to suit himself. Unwilling to attract attention to his ability, he works as a magician with the stage name of Frank Cadillac, performing third-rate shows in Las Vegas and living off "winnings" on slot machines. Unfortunately for Cris, both casino security and the FBI somehow learn of his power and want to take advantage of it. The casino bosses want him to rob the house. FBI agent Callie Ferris (Julianne Moore) wants him to thwart the detonation of a nuclear device in Los Angeles. Cris, however, wants nothing to do with the former and the latter. The reason is that his love interest is Liz Cooper (Jessica Biel), a seductive schoolteacher, who is inexplicably linked to this bomb scheme, and he is not about to jeopardize a promising affair with the girl of his dreams.

Remember that medical care may be hazardous to your health. George Grieves (Thomas Cavanagh) felt it on his own back when he went to Mt Abaddon hospital for colonoscopy. The day before the procedure his friends had thrown a scare into him by telling some stories about medical errors. Alas, poor George! His fears were just. Dr. Sharazi (Cas Anvar) was negligent in mixing up medical cards and performing thoracoscopic sympathectomy on him. After the surgery, the hapless patient ended up suffering festering wounds infected with flesh-eating germs. While in hospital, George suddenly discovered that the only form of treatment for patients in the East Ward was ... death.

Jamie Ashen (Ryan Kwanten) whose wife Lisa (Laura Regan) has recently died under mysterious circumstances becomes the prime suspect. While Detective Jim Lipton (Donnie Wahlberg) starts a routine investigation, Jamie, who is quite certain of not having done away with his own wife, goes out on his own to unravel a web of mysteries surrounding the untimely decease of his beloved. He takes as a starting point an old ventriloquist dummy which Lisa received shortly before her death. The further search leads him to his hometown of Raven’s Fair where he meets his seriously ill father, Edward Ashen (Bob Gunton), and the vindictive ghost of Mary Shaw (Judith Roberts), a notorious ventriloquist killed by townspeople for her frauds.

After his father's death, Kale Brecht (LaBeouf) becomes sullen, withdrawn, and troubled — so much so that he finds himself under a court-ordered sentence of house arrest after a run in with the law. The paranoid thriller centers on Walter Sparrow (Jim Carrey), an average man who has dearly loved wife Agatha (Virginia Madsen) and teenage son Robin (Logan Lerman) and works as a dog-catcher. His perfectly ordered life starts to unravel when he gets a red-covered detective book, The Number 23, for his birthday. Walter becomes absorbed in reading the novel, and the deeper he gets into the plot, the more convinced he is that the book bears similarities to his own life. The only difference between the book and Walter’s life is that the story doesn’t have a happy ending. Walter suspects the murder to take place in reality and becomes obsessed with the idea of uncovering a mystery that drives him mad.

The suspenseful crime drama revolves around Erica Bain (Jodie Foster), a successful NYC radio personality who hosts a night show called "Street Walk" where she relates the sentimental stories of her beloved city. One day while walking their dog in a nearby park, Erica and her fiancé David Kirmani (Naveen Andrews) get assaulted and beaten with pipes by a gang of violent thugs. The brutal attack leaves David dead and Erica in a three-week coma. Unable to cope with fear for her own life and driven by revenge, Erica illegally purchases a handgun and begins stalking the night streets to track down the perpetrators responsible for the murder of her beloved.

While sitting at a bus stop, Mr. Smith (Clive Owen) unwittingly witnesses a pregnant woman pursued by a gunman. Brooklyn, New York City, 1988, drug trade is thriving.
