Young energetic woman Caroline Ellis (Kate Hudson) takes a job as a live-in caretaker for Ben Devereaux (John Hurt), an elderly stroke victim who is speechless and wheelchair bound. To make maneuvering throughout the mansion an easier task, Ben’s wife Violet (Gena Rowlands) gives the nurse a skeleton key that unlocks every door in the house. A powerful and thoughtful chronicle drama by Steven Spielberg rises up the questions of the human costs of international terrorism. The 1972 Olympics in Munich, Germany, were supposed to be a peaceful gathering of outstanding athletes from around the world, but on September 5, the games took a sinister turn when eight masked Palestinian terrorists invaded the Olympic village, killing two Israeli athletes and abducting nine others. The story follows a secret Israeli squad assigned to track down and kill the 11 Palestinians suspected to have planned the Munich attack. Eric Bana stars as a Mossad agent tracking the Palestinian terrorist group called "Black September" which were ultimately responsible for the deaths of Israelis during the tragedy.

The story and screenplay of this successful movie was written by famed singer-songwriter Nick Cave. In the press notes he says that he set out to write "a cohesive but mythical story that moved forward and was simple and affecting, as well as highly emotionally charged". This fine-tuned allegory relates to the cyclical bloodshed and is brutally violent, but its message is also brutally honest and meditative. The renegade Murphy brothers are in conflict with the controversial law enforcer (Ray Winstone). When two of the brothers are captured by authorities, the older (Guy Pearce) is given by a no-win choice: hunt and kill the lunatic Murphy Gang mastermind, his eldest brother Arthur (Danny Huston), otherwise the youngest (Richard Wilson) gets a hemp-tie on the gallows. This western reeks of the dry desert, with flies buzzing, temperatures soaring, and emotions spiraling out of control in the dusty, desolate and virtually lawless air of 1880s of the rural Australia.

This movie is based on the TV Series "Firefly". "SERENITY" takes place 500 years in the future when the crew of a small transport ship takes on odd and sometimes criminal assignments. A small, eclectic crew of the ship is squabbling, insubordinate and undyingly loyal to its captain, Malcolm Reynolds (Nathan Fillion). When he takes two new passengers onboard - a young doctor and his unstable, telepathic sister, he gets much more than he bargained for. The pair are fugitives from the coalition dominating the universe, who will stop at nothing to reclaim the girl. The crew must defend the entrance to a galaxy-wide broadcasting station while the captain, Mal, tries to tell the worlds the truth behind the mysterious deaths on planet Miranda.

"Shopgirl" catches a glimpse inside the lives of three very different people on diverse paths, but all in search of the same thing. In Steve Martin's own adaptation of his best-selling novella, Claire Danes plays Mirabelle, a young glove saleswoman and aspiring artist who has two men in her life: Ray Parker, a wealthy older man (Martin), and Jeremy, a struggling young musician (Jason Schwartzman). Steve Martin also served as co-producer for this adaptation.

In 1933, after leaving Dogville, while traveling with her father (Willem Dafoe) and his gangsters to the south of USA, Grace Margaret Mulligan (Bryce Dallas Howard) sees a slave ready to be punished in a property called Manderlay. The slavery had been abolished seventy years ago, and Grace becomes revolted with the attitude of the owners of Manderlay, keeping slaves in their cotton fields and following predetermined despicable rules called "Mam's Law". Grace decides to stay with some gangsters in Manderlay and give notions of democracy to the slaves and to the white family. When harvest time comes, Grace sees the social and economical reality of Manderlay.

In Miami, the professional driver Frank Martin is working temporarily for the Billings family, transporting their son Jack while his driver is on vacation. Jared's rival, Treasure Hunter Derek Bates learns what they are doing and tries to negotiate the cocaine to raise money for a expedition where he intends to find a sunken boat with treasure. Jared, Sam, Bryce, and Amanda find themselves racing against time to find the shipwreck before somebody else does.
