What would you do if you knew that a gigantic comet was about to slam into the earth and wipe out all life? President of the United States, Tom Beck (Morgan Freeman), announces to the world that there is only one year left before the fatal collision. He gives an order to a team of astronauts to travel to the comet and use nuclear bombs to blow it to bits. Unfortunately, the explosion only splits the comet into two halves. Then the president declares martial law and informs that one million Americans can take shelter in underground caverns. Two hundred people will be chosen for their intellectual value, others will be selected by a national lottery. |

The exotic island, hot women, drinks and drugs - life in paradise! When the exciting vacation is over, John and Tony come back home to the United States, but Lewis goes to Borneo so as to dedicate himself to the study of tropical fauna. But some time later Lewis ends up arrested by local police who found a large quantity of hashish in the bungalow the buddies had rented. According to the Law of Malaysia, an over-limit amount of drug is classified as distribution; therefore Lewis is threatened with the death penalty. If John and Tony return and share the blame, the death sentence will be reduced to jail time. |

In the near future, earth's fossil resources are about to be used up. In an attempt to save the human race, scientists have begun building a gate, through which faster than light travel will be possible - but only if there is a gate at the destination to receive the travelers. The Robinson Family has been chosen to travel to Alpha Prime - the only other inhabitable planet known - at normal speed, ten years, cryogenically frozen. But Dr. Smith, a sinister man, sabotages their spaceship, Jupiter 2, but is also betrayed by his people. So, he has to work together with the Robinsons in order to survive himself. When Jupiter 2 is falling into the sun, the only chance to survive is to activate the hyperdrive - without a gate at the other end. Soon, the Robinsons are someplace really unknown, where they meet unfriendly silicon-based space spiders, take in a little ape-like creature and name new star systems after Bugs Bunny and Porky Pig. Unfortunately, the secret agent's free love credo taken from the 1960s doesn't seem to really work out with Vanessa...
