For New York's most powerful and toughest gangster Paul Vitti (Robert De Niro) killing a man is like having a cup of tea. But the relentless mobster has been having panic attacks recently. He can't sleep at night, feels nervous fairly often and even sheds a tear; every kid evokes tender emotions in him; and killing people is out of the question. He obviously has stress symptoms.
It's so fortunate for him that one day Dr. Ben Sobel's car collides with his car. Realizing he needs professional help, Paul wants the psychiatrist (Billy Crystal) to restore his psychological balance and his lost vitality within two weeks, before a major mobster meeting. Ben surely isn't very enthusiastic about helping him as he himself turns to be a spineless and uncertain man. A team of research scientists in the off-shore laboratory Aquatica are running experiments on sharks, trying to find a cure for Alzheimer's disease. Unbeknownst to her colleagues, Dr. Susan McAlester (Saffron Burrows), whose father suffered from this fatal illness, breaks ethical codes, genetically re-engineering the DNA of mako sharks to increase the brain size and obtain more cancer-battling enzymes. Unfortunately, the experiment also makes the sharks larger, stronger, more intelligent and aggressive. When financial backer Russell Franklin (Samuel L.Jackson), who is skeptical about the tests, threatens to close down the project, the team performs a demonstration experiment removing brain tissue from the largest shark. The test is successful, but then things go wayward: the shark subject unexpectedly awakes and tears Jim Whitlock's (Stellan Skarsgеrd) arm off. The scientists call a rescue helicopter but it crashes into the station during a tropical storm. The newly smart killer-sharks decide to make the most of the situation and sink the station in order to escape into the sea.

Therefore, when she is paroled six years later, Libby straightway escapes from a halfway house to find her missing son and her treacherous husband.

Magnolia is the study of nine lives in one day in San Fernando Valley, California. These nine lives all connect and revolve around the game show "What Do Kids Know?"(WDKK), where a team of three kids play against adults and everytime the show is on, there is a new team of adults and the kids remain; if they won the previous game. Earl Partridge (the late Jason Robards) produced "WDKK" when it was first on in the late 60s. He is dying of brain and lung cancer and is being taken care of by Phil Parma (Philip Seymour Hoffman), a male nurse. Linda, Earl's trophy wife (Julianne Moore) starts to fall in love with Earl for real, despite her cheating. Earl, rapidly dying on his bed, asks Phil to find his estranged son, Frank T.J. Mackey (Tom Cruise), who grew up hating Earl and now runs a seminar for single men, which teaches them how to seduce a woman and leave her... The host of "WDKK", Jimmy Gator (Philip Baker Hall), is also dying, but not as rapidly as Earl. He has a very rocky relationship with his daughter Claudia (Melora Waters), who sniffs crack 24/7 and accuses her father of sexually molesting her. Police Officer Jim (John C. Reilly) goes to Claudia's house after getting called about a disturbance. He falls in love with her right away... Stanley Specter (Jeremy Blackman) is a contestant on "WDKK", who is a genius and is being used by his father to make money. If Stanley and his team keep winning, they will set a record on the show and get tons of money. The record Stanley is trying to beat is the 1968 record set by Donnie Smith (William H. Macy), who had the exact same childhood when he was on the show and has now grown up to be a pathetic loser. He's been recently fired from his job, and is trying to find his way into happiness... |

The 19th installment follows MI-6 Commander James Bond to a swiss bank in Bilbao, Spain where upon retrieval of three million pounds (British dollars) a siege takes place. James barely escapes the local police, leaving them questioning the mysterious shooting that occurred minutes ago. The next day, at the MI-6 Headquarters in London, Bond first greet Miss Moneypenny and gives her a nice souvenir: a cigar. Q then calls him in first to meet Sir Robert King then to report on the mission. It was then that the three million pounds was in fact, a bomb which destroys the Headquarters and kills King. Bond's only suspect, who happens to be the woman from the swiss bank blows herself up form a hot-air balloon. He then meets Sir King's daughter, Electra, who now own her father's oil company. But Bond's real mission has a new enemy named Renard a man who feels no pain whatsoever after a bullet was put into his head, who along with Electra and their henchmen plan to nuke Europe and everything in it's path. Now with the help of Christmas Jones, a research scientist, James must foil the terrorists plan before the entire Easternmost countries are wiped out forever. The world is not enough for disasters. In ancient Egypt, high priest Imhotep started a forbidden relationship with Anck Su Namun, Pharaoh Seti's Mistress. Young ambitious guy Tom Ripley (Matt Damon), a men's room attendant and sometimes pianist, knew that he would manage to climb the social ladder some day. Herbert Greenleaf paid Ripley $1,000 plus expenses so that he could travel to Italy to persuade his spoiled, shallow and wayward son living a carefree life with his father's money to return to America. Tom was undoubtedly talented: he was well-read and smart, was good at playing the piano, forging handwriting, and impersonating voices and manners of other people. On arrival in Italy, Tom, a real chameleon, ingratiated himself with Dickie and his fascinating girlfriend, Marge Sherwood (Gwyneth Paltrow), and was soon accepted into their inner circle. He was attracted to the impetuous handsome Dicki and charmed by the privileged lifestyle. But Ripley's deep-seated dissatisfaction with his own background, life of poverty and his being a real nobody began gnawing at him and his growing desire to maintain the new wealthy lifestyle was an overpoise to his judgement. So Ripley came up with a perfidious, cruel plan to kill Greenleaf and assume his identity.

After an accident in a tunnel, a forensics expert (Denzel Washington) is left as a quadriplegic who is able only to move his head and one finger. Setting his finger to a computer, he is able to manipulate his environment with the help of a loving nurse (Queen Latifah). Even so, fearing seizures that could leave him a vegetable, he plans his "transition" with the help of a hesitational doctor friend. That all changes when he is confronted with clues from a serial killer that obviously are pointed to forensics investigation. The case clearly re-invokes his interest in life. A sharp, young cop's quick thinking saves the first crime scene. Recognizing her talent for forensics, he brings her (Angelina Jolie) unwillingly into forensics detection. Through radio contact, she becomes his eyes and legs on the scene. Michael Rooker also appears as the police captain, who has bungled earlier killings by the serial killer and is more interested in the press than in good police work. Ed O'Neill and Luis Guzman are support staff who aid Washington and run interference with Rooker. |

After losing their payload the ramshackle, sinking, ocean-going salvage tug "Sea Star" takes refuge in the eye of a typhoon in an attempt to make repairs. The crew believes their troubles are over and they are set for life when the captain informs them of the value of salvaging this apparent ghost-ship. Once power is restored to the ship strange things start to happen and the crew mysteriously disappear one by one.
