Bill Cosby's Saturday-morning cartoon series comes to the big screen with himself as a co-writer. The movie is based on William H. Cosby, Jr.'s comedy monologues about his childhood, centered on a group of urban pals growing up in a Philadelphia neighborhood. Animated heroes unexpectedly appear in the present day as real-life characters: a corpulent boy named Albert and his friends Bill, Weird Harold, Rudy, Mushmouth, Russell, and Dumb Donald. Fat Albert pulls his friends into trouble when they "fall" out of their TV world into the real world, where Fat Albert tries to help a young girl, Doris, make friends. However, the things get complicated when Fat Albert falls for Lauri, older sister of his new friend, making his pals worry about their leader who may never want to return to his cartoon world again. |

Hilary Duff stars as Sam Montgomery, a clumsy high school student who undergoes an amazing transformation into the one of her school's hottest girls. She is routinely exploited by her mean-spirited stepmother (Jennifer Coolidge) and being forced to scrub floors at her diner after the death of her father. But her gloomy life changes when she starts exchanging notes with a mysterious guy over the internet, who promises to meet her at the upcoming school dance, she also finds a friend in the person of an artsy nerd Carter (Dan Byrd). Sweet diner manager (Regina King), helps Sam to get disguised for the Halloween dance. There she discovers her prince is one of the popular guys, Austin Ames (Chad Michael Murray). This fairy tale having a cellular phone instead of the crystal shoe comes with plenty of wit, style, and heart. The uncovered shallowness of popular kids, their stupid parents, and whimpering siblings are shown in a way that should balm the unhealed wounds of anyone who's ever been to high school. |

This is the story of a guy, Joel, who discovers that his long-time girlfriend, Clementine, has undergone a psychiatrist's experimental procedure in which all of her memory of Joel is removed, after the couple has tried for years to get their relationship working fluidly. Frustrated by the idea of still being in love with a woman who doesn't remember their time together, Joel agrees to undergo the procedure as well, to erase his memories of Clementine. The film, which takes place mostly within Joel's mind, follows his memories of Clementine backwards in time as each recent memory is replaced, and the procedure then goes on to the previous one, which is likewise seen, and then erased. Once the process starts, however, Joel realizes he doesn't really want to forget Clementine, so he starts smuggling her away into parts of his memory where she doesn't belong which alters other things about his memories as well... |
