After a violent combat against the bugs in their planet, with many casualties of humans under the command of a coward officer, a group of troopers looks for shelter in an abandoned military post. The psychic Pvt. Lei Sahara (Colleen Porch) finds and releases Capt. V.J. Dax (Richard Burgi), who was left behind locked in a cell by his troop, after killing a general. Dax and two privates, in a daring mission, save Gen. J. G. Shepherd (Ed Lauter) and some soldiers from an attack of the bugs, and Shepherd gives him a command position. While waiting for rescue, some troopers are invaded through their mouths by small bugs that took control of their brains. When Gen. Shepherd is possessed by one creature, Dax and Sahara try to prevent him getting back to the Federation. |

This fantastic thriller bears strong resemblance to the "Cube" and "Pi" movies, and, at some points, lets us feel the paranoid atmosphere of Kafka's books. This ominous and ingenious film is one of the most outstanding indie projects, a "Sundance" and "Fant-Asia" festivals nominee. Simon (Jeremy Sisto), a young programmer, finds an unexpected package in his room, and, when the box is opened, he finds himself surrounded by strange events and obsessed by sudden wishes. Being a test subject in a dangerous experiment testing a new advertising scheme, Simon turns out to be plagued by mysteriously empty brown packages, a sense of paranoia and a craving to drink lots and lots of milk. |

This time around, after hearing the news of a film being made about his parents' murderous legacy, Glen (Billy Boyd), an orphan offspring, goes to Hollywood, where he promptly brings homicidal Chucky (Brad Dourif) and Tiffany (Jennifer Tilly) back to life. Chucky is seriously disappointed in his son's lack of inherent evil and tries to pass his vast knowledge of all murderous mayhem before Glen becomes some sort of nice guy. Tiff also doesn't hesitate to let her son repudiate their family's most cherished tradition - killing amusements. The action takes place in Hollywood, Jennifer Tilly plays herself becoming an unwitting hostess to the new family in this hilarious horror movie. |

She waits for the last underground train, but after drinking many alcoholic beverages, she falls asleep accidentally on the platform bench, missing the last train and being trapped in the closed underground station. Later, a train going to the depot stops at the platform. She boards the train and she meets her acquaintance Guy, who tries to sexually assault her in the underground car. Guy is attacked by the creature, dragged off, and Kate leaves the train through the tunnel. This is the beginning of her claustrophobic, scary and gore night running through the Underground of London. |

The action takes place in the USA in the 1930s. Grace (Nicole Kidman), a beatiful woman on the run from gangsters, arrives in the small Rocky Mountain town of Dogville. A dark tale based on the true story of Aileen Wuornos, one of America's first female serial killers. Wuornos had a difficult and cruel childhood plagued by abuse and drug use in Michigan. She became a prostitute by the age of thirteen, the same year she became pregnant. She eventually moved to Florida where she began earning a living as a highway prostitute—servicing the desires of semi-truck drivers. The tale focuses on the nine month period between 1989 and 1990, during which Wuornos had a lesbian relationship with a woman named Selby. And during that very same time, she also began murdering her clientele in order to get money without using sex. This turned the tables on a rather common phenomena of female highway prostitutes being the victims of serial killers—instead Wuornos, herself, carried out the deeds of a cold-blooded killer. |

This is a remake of the Japan version of "The Ring", which still is a cornerstone of the contemporary horror. A journalist woman named Rachel Keller (Naomi Watts) gets to know that her niece and the friends of the girl have died instantly and inexplicably when they checked a room in a distant motel, during their vacation. Rachel has a son Aidan (David Dorfman), she figures out that a mysterious video tape is involved in this story; these who are dead now, have watched it. Among other things, she resembles some ominous strangeness browsing photos of her dead niece's friends: their faces are uncommonly changed. And having seen the tape which initially seemed an amateurish film peculiar with an unskillful cutting, she realizes that something evil and nightmarishly unavoidable has begun looming over her and her son. Soon after watching the tape containing these various, inexplicably sinister frames she hears her phone ringing, and picks up a receiver only to hear how many days remained for her to live. Now her life is a race against the time, she is to know something about the tape and the horrifying story that lays hidden behind the dust of the past decades, spotting some things around her, the things she have seen watching the cursed cutting. A masterpiece of Gore Verbinski as a director and Naomi Watts as an actress is a prominent remake between the ones of the same genre. |
