Based loosely on "The Canterbury Tales", the movie follows the story of a young peasant squire, William Thatcher (Heath Ledger), who, after the death of his master, Sir Ector, takes the road with his buddies, Roland (Mark Addy) and Wat Falhurst (Alan Tudyk). Along the way, they encounter an obscure writer, Geoffrey Chaucer (Paul Bettany). William, the underprivileged commoner, decides to assume the identity of a knight and asks Chaucer to fake his genealogy papers. Under his new title, Sir Ulrich of Liechtenstein, William has to prove his noble birth at the country's tournaments. Gallant and determined, William wins jousts on the trot. However, where there is success there is envy. Count Adhemar of Anjou (Rufus Sewell), a dangerous rival, is able to learn William's true identity and ruin him. Adhemar and William will meet face to face in the decisive joust. |

Eddie Murphy is back as Dr. John Dolittle, a San Francisco-based successful physician who can talk to animals. This time, his four-legged patients want more than office visits. Forest animals want him to protect their habitat from deforestation by rapacious lumber tycoon Joseph Potter (Jeffrey Jones). The only way to save their home is to populate it with an endangered species that the law protects. Thus, Dr. Dolittle comes up with the idea of mating a lone Pacific Western Bear, Ava (voiced by Lisa Kudrow), with a circus performing bear, Archie (voiced by Steve Zahn). But he has only three weeks to train the domesticated bear about how to live in the wild and help him to make a love connection. |

Billy Tyne is a sword-fishing-boat captain out of Gloucester, highly competitive and stung by a string of poor outings. His crew is hardly back in port when he tells them he's going out again, even though it's October and the weather can turn ugly. Five join him: the young Bobby, newly in love; Murph, a devoted father recently divorced; Sully, a guy Murph despises; Bugsy, who's finally met a woman who likes him; and Alfred, a quiet Jamaican. They catch little, so they sail east, with Tyne ignoring storm warnings behind him. Finally, the fish bite, but the ice machine fails. Rannulph Junnah is the best golfer in Savannah. He's living well and has a girl, Adele Invergordon, who's the daughter of a wealthy landowner. The First World War starts, though, and Junnah goes to Europe to fight. The only survivor of a dangerous mission, Junnah doesn't return to Savannah for 15 years. In 1930, he returns, and Adele's father has already committed suicide during the Depression. Pressured by tax collectors to sell the golf course her father built to pay off debts, Adele, now older, vows to bring to Savannah the greatest match ever played on the greatest golf course, her late father's. She's able to round up the 2 greatest golfers of their time, Bobby Jones and Walter Hagen to play for $10,000. The townspeople insist on having "one of their own" compete also, and Rannulph Junnah is rounded up. Junnah now hangs out with bums and is an alcoholic, as he has lost his authentic swing from 15 years ago. At first he turns down the offer. He gets his old clubs and balls and starts practicing. He has lost his ability. Suddenly, Bagger Vance shows up. He offers to be Junnahs's caddy and help him regain his "authentic swing". He does, and Junnah agrees to play in the big match. |

A group of scientists, led by the brilliant and ambitious inventor Sebastian Caine (Kevin Bacon), accepts the Pentagon's assignment to formulate a serum for invisibility.
