When a happily married couple, Elizabeth (Ashley Judd) and Nicholas Parsons (Bruce Greenwood), decide to take a romantic sailing trip, they don’t think they may have any trouble. The end of the trip is, however, dismal. As the saying goes, misfortune never comes alone. Nick is drowned in the bosom of the sea, Libby is sent to prison on a murder rap, their 4-year-old son Matty (Benjamin Weir) is adopted by Libby’s friend, Angie (Annabeth Gish), who unexpectedly disappears with the kid. Libby seems to have had all the trials and troubles one must have. But this is not the case. While serving prison time, Libby discovers the awful truth that she was faked by her own hubby who is actually safe and sound and lives in clover. Knowing that she won’t be twice imprisoned for the same criminal offense she makes up her mind to take revenge on Nicholas. Therefore, when she is paroled six years later, Libby straightway escapes from a halfway house to find her missing son and her treacherous husband.

But there is one person, namely Catherine Banning (Rene Russo), a smart insurance investigator who feels in her bones that Crown is involved in the theft. Hired to assist the police in retrieving the masterpiece, Catherine resorts to various means, from intelligence and cunning to personal charm, to accomplish her mission. |

The Persian Gulf War comes to an end and the United States triumph over a defeated enemy. Hundreds of Iraqi officers and soldiers surrender themselves cradling leaflets promising food and drink, home and kind treatment. Sergeant First Class Troy Barlow (Mark Wahlberg) and Private First Class Conrad Vig (Spike Jonze) are charged to disarm, strip naked and search the surrendering Iraqi. They are lucky to have found an important document on a resisting Iraqi officer. The document proves to be a map that discloses the location of Saddam Hussein's caches of gold confiscated from Kuwait. Troy and Conrad arrive at a decision not to report their commanding officers, except their pal, Staff Sergeant Chief Elgin (Ice Cube). However, the rumors of the secret map reach the ears of Major Archie Gates (George Clooney), and the four soldiers come up with a selfish plan to abstract the treasure from the bunkers.

A luxurious cruise liner sets sail on its maiden voyage with many rich passengers. When sailing through the South China Sea, the ship is unexpectedly boarded by a gang of armed bandits, led by Hanover (Wes Studi), to grab jewellery and money. The mercenaries, who have taken the crew hostage, are utterly shocked to find the shattered remnants of the party and no passengers in sight. The fact is that the sea vessel has collided with a gigantic underwater object shortly before the intruders board the liner. The unknown object turns out to be a formidable sea monster which sucks the water from its preys, leaving only their skeletons. Among survivors is a gorgeous pickpocket, Trillian Jamesen (Famke Janssen), who is caught red-handed and locked up in the safe room, and the liner owner, Simon Canton (Anthony Heald). 200 years after the conclusion of Alien 3, the company is able to resurrect Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) through the process of cloning and the scientists successfully take the Queen Alien out of her. But, Ripley's DNA gets mixed up with the Queen's and she begins to develop certain alien characteristics. The scientists begin breeding the aliens, but they later escape. Soon the Xeno-morphs are running amok on the ship, which is on course to earth. The Queen then gives birth to a deadly new breed of alien, which could spell disaster for the entire human race. The United States is trying to help the New Russia in the war against organized crime in that country. Presently, they are after Terek Murad, a deadly crime boss. When they raid one of his establishments, Murad's brother is killed. Murad seeks revenge against the ones who killed his brother, FBI agent Carter Preston and Russian Major Valentina Koslova, but most of all, he wants to send a message to the Americans about interfering in matters that don't concern them, so he hires an international assassin to kill the head of the FBI. When the assassin advises Murad to go into hiding until the job is done, he does. Desperate to know what Murad is doing, Preston allows the Russians to abduct Murad's errand boy and torture him to find out, and he utters the word "Jackal" which Preston recognizes as the name of an international assassin. They have to find him but unfortunatly, there is noone who knows who he is except for one person, whom they have to find and the only person who knows where that person is, is Declan Mulqueen, an IRA man, who is in prison, they offer to reduce his sentence is he helps them but refuses because all he wants is to be freed, so they decide to leave but he tells them that he knows who the Jackal is. So they release him and together they try to find the Jackal before he makes his move which won't be easy because he is very wily. |
