Glorious classic film musical. 1927: Don Lockwood and Lina Lamont are the darlings of the silent silver screen. When the world is ruled by apes, one particular group discovers a mysterious rectangular monolith near their home, which imparts upon them the knowledge of tool use, and enables them to evolve into men. A similar monolith is discovered on the moon, and is determined to have come from an area near Jupiter. Astronaut David Bowman, along with four companions, sets off for Jupiter on a spaceship controlled by HAL 9000, a revolutionary computer system that is every bit mankind's equal, and perhaps his superior. When HAL endangers the crew's lives for the sake of the mission, Bowman will have to first overcome the computer, then travel to the birthplace of the monolith. |

Paris, home to finest restaurants, best chefs and cooking, is a gourmand's paradise. However, Linguini soon becomes a culinary superstar thanks to Remy, who conceals himself under his toque and controls his every move by pulling on his hair like a puppeteer's strings. A flying saucer orbits the 1950s Earth. It lands in Washington, DC, on the Mall. The lone occupant steps out and is shot by a jumpy soldier. Gort, a large and very powerful robot appears to save him and is able to melt tanks with the slightest bit of his power. The wounded alien orders Gort to stop his rampage and is taken to a hospital from which he escapes in order to learn more about this planet, even moving in as a boarder with an Earth family. When they begin to suspect him, he reveals himself, along with the news that Gort is a member of a race of super-robot enforcers invented to keep the peace of the galaxy that will destroy the Earth if provoked. |

The animated family movie tells the delightful story of what happens when toys are left alone in a room. Andy Davis (John Morris) is a wide-eyed little boy who likes playing with his toys, especially with Woody (Tom Hanks), an old-fashioned pull-string cowboy doll. Woody finds his status as Andy's favorite in jeopardy when the boy gets a space ranger named Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen) for his birthday. Woody becomes so jealous that he schemes to get rid of his rival. Things, however, backfire. When the spaceman accidentally falls out of the window, the other toys blame Woody for the accident. Racked with remorse, Woody ventures into the outside world to find Buzz. Then the two toys find themselves in the clutches of Sid Phillips (Erik von Detten), a nasty neighborhood kid who takes a sadistic delight in dismembering and reconstructing his toys into gruesome mutants. Woody and Buzz must join forces to escape from the ruthless Sid and his savage dog, Scud, and find their way home before Andy moves to a new house. |

In this hilarious fantasy movie, Andy (John Morris) goes off to summer camp, leaving his toy friends to their own devices. When Andy's mother (Laurie Metcalf) decides to take some old items for a yard sale, Woody the Cowboy (Tom Hanks) sets off to rescue the toy penguin Wheezy (Joe Ranft). Al McWiggin (Wayne Knight), a toy store owner and collector, notices the cowboy doll and offers $50 for him but Andy's mom refuses, knowing that Woody is a highly valued collectible. Determined to get Woody for his collection, the malicious man steals the toy. At Al's apartment Woody meets other collectible toys, Stinky Pete the Prospector (Kelsey Grammer), a horse named Bullseye and Jessie, the Yodeling Cowgirl (Joan Cusack), and discovers that the greedy toy collector is about to sell them to a Japanese toy museum. Meanwhile, Buzz Lightyear (voice of Tim Allen), Mr. Potato Head (voice of Don Rickles), Rex (voice of Wallace Shawn), Slinky Dog (voice of Jim Varney), and Hamm (voice of John Ratzenberger) spring into an action to find their fellow toy before Andy returns home from the camp. |

Lying in wait, however, is Lady Tottington's snobby suitor, Victor Quartermaine, who'd rather shoot the beast and secure the position of local hero-not to mention Lady Tottingon's hand in marriage. With the fate of the competition in the balance, Lady Tottington is eventually forced to allow Victor to hunt down the vegetable chomping marauder. The four drivers and their respective passengers can't decide on how to share the future fortune, and suddenly a wild race to Santa Rosita develops. While one party manages to rent a plane (from 1916), the others face different problems like tire damage, untrustworthy lifts, deep water, drunken millionaires, a British adventurer, little girl's bicycles, and last but far not least a mother-in-law from hell and her imbecile son. While the folks slowly travel towards the goal, they are being watched. Who ever said that nobody else knew about the fortune? |

When a new princess is born to King Stefan & his wife, the entire kingdom rejoices. At a ceremony, three good fairies - Flora, Fauna & Merryweather - bestow gifts of magic on the child. But an evil sorceress named Maleficent shows up, and because of a rude remark by Merryweather, she places a curse on the princess - that she will die on her 16th birthday after touching a poisoned spinning wheel. Merryweather tries to undo the damage by casting a spell that will allow the princess - named Aurora - to awake from an ageless sleep with a kiss from her true love. The fairies take Aurora to their cottage in the woods to keep her away from the eyes of Maleficent, and raise her as their own child, named Briar Rose. On her 16th birthday Aurora meets Prince Phillip, the son of a king whose own kingdom will soon merge with King Stefan's - and falls in love. Maleficent manages to kidnap the Prince and her horrible prophecy is fulfilled when she tricks Aurora into touching a spinning wheel created by Maleficent herself! Realizing that the Prince is in trouble, the 3 good fairies head to Maleficent's castle at the Forbidden Mountain, and spring the Prince loose. But the Prince soon finds himself up against Maleficent's army of brutes, and the power of Maleficent's evil spells - which include a thorn forest as thick as weeds around King Stefan's castle, and a fight against Maleficent when she turns herself into a dragon! Is the Prince strong enough to withstand the powers of the evil sorceress? |
