Alex Fletcher (Hugh Grant) used to be an A-list pop star. However, his fame slowly but surely began to dwindle and ultimately fizzled out. Many years later the gifted musician is on top of the world about a chance to redeem his forfeit fame when newly-made pop diva Cora Corman (Haley Bennett) offers him to write a chart-topping hit and record a duet with her. There's just one hitch: Alex is really good at composing music but has never written lyrics in his life. He is about to give way to despair but fortunately he encounters Sophie Fisher (Drew Barrymore), a young talented lyricist. He manages to persuade the wayward girl to cooperate with him, and attraction soon sparks between them... |

Dr. Evil returns from space just as British spy Austin Powers learns on his honeymoon that his wife is a fembot in Evil's control. Back on the singles scene, Powers discovers he's impotent because Evil has used a time machine to return to the late 60s and steal his libido. British intelligence also has a time portal, so Powers goes back to 1969 to recapture his mojo and, teaming with agent Felicity Shagwell, to stop another Evil plot to take over the world, this time with a "laser" beamed from the moon. In addition to watching the news, we see the program's commercials, some commentary on the film as it proceeds, and we watch some terrorists in training. Behind the scenes, Onion News's corporate owner, Global Tetrahedron, seeks synergy by promoting its other products within Norm's news broadcast. Norm doesn't like it, especially when a toy penguin (think Energizer Bunny) waddles across his desk promoting a Global Tetrahedron film starring Steven Seagal. But Norm may end up needing Steven's help. |

Since childhood ambitious Ricky Bobby (Will Ferrell) has been mad about auto racing, dreaming of following his father's (Gary Cole) steps and becoming a pro. He makes the first step to his dream and starts working on a pit crew as a jackman for a race team. One day he is lucky to replace Terry Cheveaux (Adam McKay) who is only an apology for a driver and ends up finishing third despite starting mid-race in last place. Ricky soon becomes the best NASCAR driver, around whom reporters and girl fans always swarm. He and his stalwart childhood friend, racing partner Cal Naughton Jr. (John C. Reilly) always finish races in the No. 1 and No. 2 positions; he has his trophy wife Carley (Leslie Bibb), two kids and fat cat accounts in the bank. It goes on like this, until a pretentious Formula One driver Jean Girard (Sacha Baron Cohen) challenges Ricky and outperforms him on the track. The ex-champion finds himself in a hospital bed instead of a pedestal. Doctors prohibit him from dreaming of his comeback on track but despite everything Ricky gets back into racing and makes it hot for Jean Girard.

After Zeus fights and sends the Titans to the underworld, he becomes the ruler of Mount Olympus, home of all greek gods. Hades is sent to rule the underworld, but he makes plans to throw Zeus out of Mount Olympus with the Titans' help. The three Fates warn him that his plans would be endangered if Hercules, Zeus newborn child, is still around by the time he tries to take over Mount Olympus. Hades sends Pain and Panic to turn Hercules into a mortal and kill him, but they fail in their attempt and leave him on earth with his divine strength to be raised as a human. Hercules grows up but later learns he is the son of gods, and in order to return to Mt. Olympus he must turn into a "true hero". He is trained by Phil the satyr and becomes the most famous hero in ancient Greece after battling monsters of all kinds. He even saves Mt. Olympus from Hade's take-over, but he only becomes a god again after he offers to exchange his life in order to save Meg, his love, from Hades' underworld and shows that a true hero must have a strong heart and not only physical strength. |

Nicholas Oseransky (Matthew Perry) is a nice, mild-mannered, a bit naive guy living in peaceful suburban Montreal and working as a dentist. Oz, as his buddies call him, is unhappily married to a nymphomaniac woman, Sophie (Rosanna Arquette), who is sick and tired of him. If he divorced his wife, he would be poor as a church mouse.
One day a famous hitman from Chicago, Jimmy "The Tulip" Tudeski (Bruce Willis), moves in next door under the assumed name of "Jimmy Jones" to make a new start. But his "hope" doesn't come true. When Sophie learns of Jimmy's true identity, she forces Nicholas to go to Chicago and sell the hitman's whereabouts to the dangerous mobsters he ratted out. Moreover, the greedy Sophie decides to kill two birds with one stone: she presses Jimmy to finish her husband off so that she can get the life insurance money...
