Based on Oscar Wilde's play, the movie centers around Sir Robert Chiltern (Jeremy Northam), a Government minister who is famous for his honesty and incorruptibility. His wife, Lady Gertrude Chiltern (Cate Blanchett), who is morality itself, is a match for him. So they are a happily married couple. However, Sir Robert isn't as perfect as he seems. One day Mrs. Laura Cheveley (Julianne Moore) who has proof of his past misdeed arrives in London to blackmail Chiltern. His impeccable reputation and successful political career are threatened but he is more anxious about how not to lose his beloved wife. Therefore he turns for help to his best pal, Lord Arthur Goring (Rupert Everett), who coincidentally had a relationship with the devilish Mrs. Chieveley. Goring advises not to give way to despair but take serious measures against the blackmailer. |

This brilliant satirical comedy follows Peter Gibbons (Ron Livingston), an ordinary IT worker who is fed up with his mediocre life and his boring job at a software company plagued by excessive management. Stressed and burnt-out, Peter is forced by his soon-to-be ex-girlfriend Anne (Alexandra Wentworth) to visit an occupational hypnotherapist. Dr. Swanson (Mike McShane) puts Peter into a state of complete relaxation and unexpectedly kicks the bucket before he can snap him out of his hypnotic state. The half-hypnotized Peter begins to enjoy life for the first time in a very long time, blowing off his job and dating a sexy waitress named Joanna (Jennifer Aniston). But, curiously enough, instead of firing him, the company gives him a promotion. When he discovers that his best friends Michael Bolton (David Herman) and Samir Nagheenanajar (Ajay Naidu) are laid off instead, Peter induces them to exact revenge on the callous employer by planting a computer virus that will send fractions of pennies from the company's transactions into their own bank account. |

Five British best friends are living for the weekends. The sexually paranoid Jip (John Simm) works at a clothes shop. His black buddy Koop (Shaun Parkes), an aspiring hip-hop DJ, sells discs at a record store and Koop's girlfriend, Nina (Nicola Reynolds), who failed to enter college, works at a fast food joint from 9 till 5. But the daily sight of burgers literally makes her retch and she quits her job. Lulu (Lorraine Pilkington) is an independent blonde who doesn't think much of men. Moff (Danny Dyer) is the only person who doesn't work. He earns money by supplying his friends with drugs. The director presents the viewer with the characters, depicting youth's fears, complexes, and lack of self-confidence. The link between them is that they hate having to work. They are all obsessed with sex and find an outlet in drugs, drinking, clubbing, and dancing to wild music. The only way to escape from the humdrum of their daily lives, their dead-end jobs, and the establishment is to try to relax during the weekend turned into an explosive mixture of house music, sex, ecstasy and marijuana. |

The comedy drama comprises two interweaving stories, all taking place in Alabama in 1965. The first story follows a glamorous, ambitious and eccentric housewife, Lucille Vincent (Melanie Griffith), who decides to put a stop to her husband's continual abuse and kills him by chopping off his head. With her husband's head in a hat box, she takes her seven kids to her brother's place and heads for the bright lights of Hollywood, where she is determined to achieve television stardom. Lucille reaches Los Angeles with a series of adventures and is offered to act in a movie. When the box with the head inside eventually falls into the hands of two policemen, Lucille gets arrested and escorted back to Alabama for her trial. The second story is narrated by Peejoe (Lucas Black), Lucille's 12-year-old nephew, an honest boy with a keen sense of justice who becomes involved in the racial strife. He raises an accusation against a corrupt sheriff who murdered a small black boy, Taylor Jackson (Miller), who dared to take a swim in the town's municipal swimming pool. The two story lines are joined at the trial. |

For New York's most powerful and toughest gangster Paul Vitti (Robert De Niro) killing a man is like having a cup of tea. But the relentless mobster has been having panic attacks recently. He can't sleep at night, feels nervous fairly often and even sheds a tear; every kid evokes tender emotions in him; and killing people is out of the question. He obviously has stress symptoms.
It's so fortunate for him that one day Dr. Ben Sobel's car collides with his car. Realizing he needs professional help, Paul wants the psychiatrist (Billy Crystal) to restore his psychological balance and his lost vitality within two weeks, before a major mobster meeting. Ben surely isn't very enthusiastic about helping him as he himself turns to be a spineless and uncertain man. 'Go' is set mostly during one long Christmas Eve in the lives of a group of young adults on the events surrounding a drug deal in Los Angeles replayed three different times from three different views. In a straightforward manner; when slacker Simon Baines (Desmond Asknew) takes off for a getaway to Las Vegas with his friends, Ronna (Sarah Polley) takes his shift at the 24-hour grocery store where they work. When two guys, named Adam and Zack (Scott Wolf and Jay Mohr), walk in asking to score some dope from Simon, Ronna takes it upon herself and her friends Claire (Katie Holmes) and Mannie (Nathan Bexton) to buy some some stuff from the local drug dealer Todd Gains (Timothy Olyphant). But the drug deal is a sting that Adam and Zack are forced to set up by an overzealous narcotics agent, Burke (William Fichtner). Ronna is forced to dispose of the drugs. With no other alternative, she tries to double-cross Todd with phony drugs. Meanwhile in Las Vegas, Simon's adventures with his best friend Marcus (Taye Diggs) hit an unfortunate turn during a trip to a strip club, while Adam and Zack end up spending Christmas Eve with Burke and his wife Irene (Jane Krakowski), and afterwards while driving to a rave that Ronna is dealing, the guys accidentally hit Ronna with their car and leave her for dead. Nearby, Mannie nearly OD's on dope, and Claire gets more friendly with a vengeful Todd whom is now looking for Ronna. |

Robby is stood up at the altar by Linda, who decides that the prospect of marrying a guy who sings at wedding receptions doesn't equal the attraction she felt when he was lead singer in a rock band. Robby finds consolation in his friendship with Julia, a waitress at the wedding receptions and bar mitzvahs where he performs. Julia asks Robby to help her plan her upcoming wedding to Glenn, who isn't interested in the details of the ceremony. Robby learns that Glenn also isn't totally interested in Julia and is marrying her because she "deserves it" after sticking with him for years and because he knows she's not marrying him for his money, since she dated him back before he started pulling down the big bucks. |
