After his Vice-president suddenly dies, the President (Jeff Bridges) who is near the end of his final term, decides to leave a legacy by selecting a woman to fill the position. Enter a Senator (Joan Allen), who has shifted from the Republican Party to the Democratic. Initially appearing to be the perfect candidate, an allegation suddenly appears that she had been involved in a sexual orgy as a 19 year old in college. The confirmation committee chairman (Gary Oldman), a Republican, leaks the information to the press, while using the press discussion as a forum to bring it into the hearings. The chairman desires to get a Governor (William Petersen) into the office. The Governor had become a national hero when he attempted to rescue a young woman from a car that crashed from a bridge into deep water near where the Governor had been fishing.

In September 1971, a platoon of recruits arrives in Ft. Polk, LA, for infantry training before leaving for war. The final week takes place in Tigerland, a swamp similar to Vietnam. Jim Paxton has enlisted; he wants to experience everything and write books later. He befriends Roland Bozz, a cool Texan with a gift for getting into trouble and for helping misfits get discharges. At least one sociopath in the platoon hates Bozz, even as the sergeants grudgingly recognize his leadership abilities. As the platoon heads into its week in Tigerland, Paxton's body gives out, Bozz makes plans to go AWOL, and the sociopath gets hold of live ammo. Is the Louisiana swamp more dangerous than the DMZ?

Adopting his Fremen name "Maud'Dib", Paul vows vengeance on Baron Harkonnen and the Emperor and he unites the Fremen and forms a army of warriors and leads into battle, as he sets out to defeat the Harkonnen family and put a stop to the Melange mining operation, as Paul sets out to fulfill his destiny, as he becomes the prophesied all-powerful Kwisatz Haderach.

Selma is a Czechoslovakian immigrant, a single mother working in a factory in rural America. On his way to a planet which has a fountain of immortality, Tyler makes a pit stop at F.A.K.K.² (Federation-Assigned Ketogenic Killzone) because its inhabitants carry some immortality water in their bodies. Tyler abducts a few people and kills the rest, but misses one: Julie, the sole survivor enraged by Tyler's careless rampage, vows to avenge her family and kill Tyler before he reaches the fountain.

Based on the popular books, the story tells of Tony who wants a friend to add some adventure to his life. What he gets is Rudolph, a vampire kid with a good appietite. The two end up inseperable, but their fun is cut short when all the hopes of the vampire race could be gone forever in single night. With Tony's access to the daytime world, he helps them to find what they've always wanted.

Miles Logan is a jewel thief. After losing their payload the ramshackle, sinking, ocean-going salvage tug "Sea Star" takes refuge in the eye of a typhoon in an attempt to make repairs. Whilst trying to find help the tug, captained by Robert Everton ('Donald Sutherland' (qv)), discovers a Russian science vessel adrift in the eye. The crew believes their troubles are over and they are set for life when the captain informs them of the value of salvaging this apparent ghost-ship. However, the navigator Kit Foster ('Jamie Lee Curtis' (qv)) and the chief engineer Steve Baker ('William Baldwin' (qv)) are not convinced that it will be that easy. Once power is restored to the ship strange things start to happen and the crew mysteriously disappear one by one. It isn't until the discovery of the last remaining Russian crew member, the chief science officer Nadia Vinogradiya ('Joanna Pacula' (qv)), that the crew realise the enemy ranged against them isn't the Russians but something far more malevolent...

In a small Minnesota town, the annual beauty pageant is being covered by a TV crew. Former winner Gladys Leeman wants to make sure her daughter follows in her footsteps. Explosions, falling lights, and trailer fires prove that. As the Leemans are the richest family in town the police are pretty relaxed about it all. As usual, a love affair takes place between a man and a woman, so Mac and Gin are fated to fall victim to Cupid's arrows.

The biopic comedy relates the story of Andy Kaufman (Jim Carrey), a famous American entertainer, actor and performance artist who was able to stir any audience. An eccentric, extraordinary person and an enigmatic comedian, he gave bizarre performances making the audience empathize with him, hate him or wonder at his escapades. He made them show their emotions, as opposed to just sitting in front of a TV and swallowing cheap jokes. The movie takes a profound look at Kaufman's art as well as his personal life and his relationship with his girlfriend Lynne Margulies (Courtney Love), his best pal and partner Bob Zmuda (Paul Giamatti), and his manager George Shapiro (Danny DeVito).

A mysterious African-American warrior nicknamed Ghost Dog (Forest Whitaker) follows "Hagakure: The Way of the Samurai." He lives in solitude, communicating with the outside world via homing pigeon, and faithfully serves a small-time mobster, Louie (John Tormey), who once saved his life. He blindly obeys his master, performing dangerous missions that are generally connected with assassination. When his recent murder is witnessed by the big boss' daughter, Louise Vargo (Tricia Vessey), the mafia group decides to put Ghost Dog away so as to conceal their involvement. The gangsters keep the track of all the lofts in town and kill Ghost Dog's pigeons when they eventually find his hut. Ghost Dog realizes that he is given the toughest assignment to slay the entire mafia or, otherwise, they will kill him and his master, so he starts wiping out his many adversaries.
