Set in Central Africa in 1870, the drama revolves around Dr. Jamie Dodd (Joseph Fiennes), an anthropologist who combs the tropical jungle for a rare species, hoping to find the link between man and ape. A shape shifter (Burke) comes from the desert in search of victims, a spirit the locals call "The Dust Devil".
