When successful stand up comedian Buddy 'Aces' Israel (Jeremy Piven) is determined to turn state's evidence and testify against mob boss Primo Sparazza (Joseph Ruskin), the latter gives his orders, Aces' mouth is to be shut, and sets a price of a million dollars upon his head. Hoping to bring the big-time mobster to trial, the FBI places the sharpen-tongued witness into protective custody, under the supervision of two agents Richard Messner (Ryan Reynolds) and Donald Carruthers (Ray Liotta), and not without reason, for a gang of money-hungry villainous thugs is close on Buddy's tail, waiting for an opportunity to hit the jackpot. And they get a chance when the indiscreet Aces decides to go to a casino to try his luck. It must be said that luck is just what he needs!

"The Interpreter" is a cat and mouse game with a few of the involved parties appearing to change sides throughout the process. Sometimes you should pay close attention in order to keep up with the plot (you can miss a key detail being away for a tea watching this film). |

When Agent 009 turns up dead at the British Embassy in Berlin holding a Russian Faberge egg, 007 is called in to investigate. The soundtrack of "Tomorrow Never Dies" is the song of the same name, brilliantly performed by Sheryl Crow, who also is an author of this heartfelt hit.

Joe, a rootless young drifter, finds work on a barge travelling between Glasgow and Edinburgh, owned by Les and his wife Ella. One afternoon they discover the corpse of a young woman floating in the water. Accident? Suicide? Murder? As the police investigate and suspect is arrested, we discover that Joe knows more than he is letting on. Gradually we learn of Joe's past relationship with the dead woman.
