The most emotional adventure of his career begins for James Bond on a deserted beach where a young woman tries to drown herself. He rescues the girl and for his trouble is attacked by two toughs - the girl's bodyguards. It soon becomes much bigger for 007 - the girl is Teresa Draco, daughter of crime boss Marc Ange Draco, who wants James to marry his wayward daughter, and in return he can provide 007 with information on an even more dangerous criminal leader - Ernst Stavro Bloefeld of SPECTRE. But both James and Teresa find more than they ever bargained for when their paths collide in a vicious pursuit in the snow-capped mountains of Switzerland, an enormous avalanche, and a smuggling ring for germ warfare against the West by Blofeld, who proves most difficult to kill and who exacts a revenge that James can never forget - or forgive. |

When two colleagues of James Bond are murdered, James follows the widow of a double agent who has been killed - and a confrontation ensues. The double agent is part of SPECTRE, and the organization's meeting in a secret lair in Paris regrets the agent's passing as it deals with new criminal business. Emilio Largo, a ruthless and flamboyant one-eyed enforcer, has hatched a scheme against the North Atlantic Treaty powers that begins at a rehabilitation clinic near an RAF airbase. Scheduled to pilot an RAF Vulcan strategic bomber on a normal "fail-safe" flight is Francois Derval, who is having a passionate affair with the magnificently endowed beauty Fiona Volpe - an affair that SPECTRE exploits. Soon, the Vulcan and its warload of two nuclear bombs has been hijacked, the bombs seized by Largo, for use in SPECTRE's most audacious extortion scheme yet. James Bond, however, finds a key clue in the sister of Francois Derval, Dominique "Domino" Derval, a beautiful young woman who is a passionate scuba-diver living in Nassau. When James investigates Domino, he comes into contact with a SPECTRE operation on the island, and he gets help from HMSS' man in Nassau, Pinder, and in old CIA chum Felix Leiter. But when James and Felix find out what SPECTRE is up to, it may be to late to save a major US coastal city from nuclear annihilation. |

While carrying out road repairs in an Army training base, Pitkin (Norman Wisdom) and his sidekick Grimsdale (Edward Chapman) keep besting and irritating their commanding officer who finally arranges to have them conscripted and sent to France. As they undertake basic training, Pitkin falls in love with a girl Cartland by name (Honor Blackman) who soon leaves the camp for her secret mission (in France). Having arrived in France, the guys go on mending roads in front of the Allied advance and eventually get captured, but, curiously enough, it appears that Pitkin bears an uncanny resemblance to Schreiber, the German General, and is mistaken for him... |

This is the epic story of courage, honor and the destructive power of war. Set in a Burma in 1943, the drama follows British prisoners of war who are ordered by Colonel Saito (Sessue Hayakawa), a remorseless Japanese commander, to build a railway bridge over the River Kwai. But all of a sudden Nicholson changes his mind and commands his men to build the best bridge possible as a symbol of British morale. At first, the prisoners admire Nicholson's fortitude but then they are perplexed to discover that he slowly goes mad and becomes obsessed with building an ideal bridge. When American Major Shears (William Holden) escapes from the camp and informs the British commander of the operation, he is assigned to lead a team of commandos to the jungle so as to blow up the strategic structure. |
