After the death of her father, Little Voice or LV (played by Jane Horrocks) becomes a virtual recluse, never going out and hardly ever saying a word. She just sits in her bedroom listening to her father's collection of old records of Shirley Bassey, Marilyn Monroe and various other famous female singers. But at night time, LV sings, imitating these great singers with surprising accuracy. One night she is overheard by one of her mother's boyfriends, who happens to be a talent agent. He manages to convince her that her talent is special and arranges for her to perform at the local night club, but several problems arise. |

In 1967 the US and Soviet Russia reach a new crisis when Jupiter 16, a US space capsule, is captured in Earth orbit by a strange rocket ship. This adult-oriented tale continues the story of Batman (Kiton) - a superhero who tries now to rid the dull and gothic-looking Gotham City of the evil Penguin (Danny DeVito). Sexual component of the film is CatWoman (Michelle Pfeiffer) who uses her long black whip even better than the famous adventurer Indiana Jones. US Box office of the film exceeds 150 million dollars, so the picture can be called a high-grade one also because of its visual effects, make-up and everything (but the story seems naive a lot in some moments). But, nevertheless, this screen comic is suitable for all family to see. At the final minutes of film, DeVito's Penguin looks even pity: he is a monster, but he's undoubtedly unhappy creature. |

Drug lord Frank White (Chrstiopher Walken) is released from Sing-Sing prison after serving a number of years for drug trafficking. He is reunited with his former gang, led by the murderous Jimmy Jump (Laurence Fishburne), as well as his personal female bodyguards Raye (Theresa Randle) and Melanie (Carrie Ngyen), and his lover/legal annalist Jennifer (Janet Julien). These great painters had initially ignored the yearly art competitions, until the one in which the prize was the hearty money and a guaranteed career. In the same time, Paris high society was shaken by the Amedeo's ardent relations with Jeanne Hebuterne (Elsa Zylberstein). Modigliani's tragedy was in being unappreciated and addicted to alcohol and opium, which made his often unpredictable and sometimes violent behavior all the more volatile. |
