It's a contemporary interpretation of Shakespeare's play which is transported from medieval Scotland to modern-day Australia. Macbeth (Sam Worthington) is a cold-blooded assassin working for a powerful Melbourne crime lord, Duncan (Gary Sweet). A fateful encounter with three teenage witches (Chloe Armstrong, Kate Bell and Miranda Nation), who prophesy that he will soon assume power, stirs his ambition and arouses in him the determination to try to take total control over Duncan's gang. Encouraged by his heartless wife (Victoria Hill), Macbeth kills his boss, only to find that murder is not merely a step towards power but also leads to his own downfall and death.

When they are hired, they go to the town and teach the villagers how to defend themselves. When the leader of the bandits come ,they fight him and his men off. the second time he comes the villagers give the seven to them, due to a heated argument. The leader of the bandits take their guns and throw them out of town he gives them horses and gives their guns back to them when they are far out of town. The seven decide that they aren't going to run, and head back to the village for a final showdown.
Labor racketeer Carmine Ricca is acquitted of a multiple murder on a technicality, but after leaving the courthouse amid a sea of reporters and a mob of angry demonstrators, he is driven away - and some time later that day is found shot to death with his driver, lawyer, and a bodyguard.
