Plot Summary:
Frances (Diane Lane), a 35-year-old woman writer from San Francisco has just been spiritually unsettled by her recent divorce, which entailed her deep creative crisis block. Frances's best friend, Patti (Sandra Oh), is worried about her recovery and sends Frances to Tuscany for 10 days. To everybody's surprise soon after her arrival to Italy, Frances purchases an old shabby villa named Bramasole, meaning "something that yearns for the sun". Is there a nicer place for trying to turn the page than a Renaissance house in the pictoresque Italian countryside?
