Based on true events, Charles S. Dutton's feature-length directorial debut stars Meg Ryan as boxing promoter Jackie Kallen, a Jewish woman from Detroit who broke through and found success in the world of boxing attempting to make her mark in this male-dominated sport. She works her way up in the world of boxing by believing in the fighting skills of Luther Shaw (Omar Epps) a light-heavyweight contender from the inner-city. The drama focuses on Jackie's relationship with him in attempt to lead him to the summit. Likewise, Kallen's life and career came into focus due to Shaw and his influence on her growth. |

A group of social rejects enters a dodgeball tournament in Las Vegas against an all-star team led by Ben Stiller's character after their neighborhood "Average Joe's" gymnasium is threatened with a corporate takeover. The biopic follows the life and career of legendary boxer Muhammad Ali (Will Smith) also known as ‘The Greatest’. He was the only boxer to become the world’s heavyweight champion three times. He was born in 1942 and was called Cassius Clay. When in 1954 somebody stole his new bike, Ali couldn’t stand up for himself, so he went to a gym to learn how to fight. Ali trained six days a week and was soon really good at running, skipping and, of course, boxing. In 1964 Clay converted to Islam and changed his name to Muhammad Ali. The movie depicts his rise and fall in sports and politics, including forfeiture of his boxing license and championship title for his principled refusal to serve in the military during the Vietnam War and his comeback battles against Joe Frazier and George Foreman. |

Shortly before the playoffs, the Washington Sentinels and their cheerleaders have gone on strike for more money. To put their nose out, the owner of the NFL football team, Edward O'Neil (Jack Warden), brings in self-retired head coach Jimmy McGinty (Gene Hackman) to hire a team of substitute players. The replacement team is comprised of Daniel Bateman (Jon Favreau), a violent SWAT leader; Clifford Franklin (Orlando Jones), an ex-convict, who can outrun bit can't catch a football; Nigel 'The Leg' Gruff (Rhys Ifans), a Welsh soccer player who can kick a soccerball the full length of the playing field; Jahmal Abdul Jackson (Faizon Love) and André Action Jackson (Michael Taliferro), stout gangster rapper brothers; Jumbo Fumiko (Ace Yonamine), a Japanese sumo wrestler. Among them is Shane Falco (Keanu Reeves), a former Ohio State quarterback who has to become the ragtag team's captain. Charming blonde Annabelle Farrell (Brooke Langton), the head cheerleader, assembles a group of former strippers to encourage the replacements and kindle their fighting spirit. Rannulph Junnah is the best golfer in Savannah. He's living well and has a girl, Adele Invergordon, who's the daughter of a wealthy landowner. The First World War starts, though, and Junnah goes to Europe to fight. The only survivor of a dangerous mission, Junnah doesn't return to Savannah for 15 years. In 1930, he returns, and Adele's father has already committed suicide during the Depression. Pressured by tax collectors to sell the golf course her father built to pay off debts, Adele, now older, vows to bring to Savannah the greatest match ever played on the greatest golf course, her late father's. She's able to round up the 2 greatest golfers of their time, Bobby Jones and Walter Hagen to play for $10,000. The townspeople insist on having "one of their own" compete also, and Rannulph Junnah is rounded up. Junnah now hangs out with bums and is an alcoholic, as he has lost his authentic swing from 15 years ago. At first he turns down the offer. He gets his old clubs and balls and starts practicing. He has lost his ability. Suddenly, Bagger Vance shows up. He offers to be Junnahs's caddy and help him regain his "authentic swing". He does, and Junnah agrees to play in the big match. |

Bobby Boucher (Adam Sandler) has been tied to his overprotective mother's (Kathy Bates) apron strings for thirty years. He works as a water boy for the local college football team, all players of which constantly make a mock of him.
