They soon discover that this is part of a strange game called the Dead Pool, and it isn't long before other people on the list turn up dead...and someone starts making attempts on Harry's life... |

Chris Vaughn (The Rock) is recently retired from the military service, he finds his hometown turned into the place invaded by crime, violence and drugs. Since local Sheriff Bufford Pusser had lost his beloved wife, he is mentally crashed and, in fact, almost inept. Chris finds out, that the man who is guilty of causing such dilapidation of the town is none other than his former school rival keeping the doubtful casino, where an ex of Chris works as a dancer. Jay Hamilton (Neal McDonough), a casino owner, has also closed the lumber mill which caused severe unemployment. Taking on sheriff's duties, Chris, a tough guy with strong military skills, have to try to fight his sweet hometown back. |

Everyone knows that police detective John Shaft (Samuel L. Jackson) is the toughest and smartest cop in New York City. This time Shaft is out to put away a spoiled preppie, Walter Wade (Christian Bale), who killed a young black student. Shaft arrests the perpetrator but he is soon set free on 200-thousand dollars bail and escapes to Switzerland. Two years later, Wade secretly returns to the United States and gets a bust. When Wade's father (Philip Bosco), a wealthy tycoon, posts a million dollars bail for his son once again, Shaft throws his badge and leaves police to lead his personal vendetta against Wade. Teamed up with his eye-catching fellow detective Carmen Vasquez (Vanessa L. Williams), Shaft must find barmaid Diane Palmieri (Toni Collette), who was an eye witness to the racially-motivated murder. Meanwhile, Wade asks his cellmate Peoples Hernandez (Jeffrey Wright), a Dominican drug lord, to kill the only witness of his crime. Hernandez, in his turn, gives a graft to two corrupt officers to find the girl. |

After having her father and perverse stepmother killed by the cenobites, Kirsty Cotton (Ashley Lawrence) is sent to a psychiatric hospital. Even after trying to convince the authorities of what really happened with her family, nobody believes in her version of the history and they decide to place her in the institute, so that she rests and relaxes a little bit. The hospital is commanded by a brilliant and strange psychiatrist, Dr. Channard (Kenneth Cranham), who has been looking for the key for another dimension for a long time. The only person who believes in Kirsty is a young and kind assistant of Dr. Channard, called Kyle MacRae (William Hope). Following Kirsty's version of the story, Channard put his hands on the bloodstained mattress where her stepmother Júlia (Clare Higgins, from the first Hellraiser) died, Channard decides to resurrect her, killing his patients and offering them as food for Júlia. She returns without skin, and she decides to help Channard to bring the forces of the evil, but the plans of the two will be disturbed by Kirsty, who wants to end at once with the cenobites, and for Kyle, who doesn't want to see Kirsty being hurt... |

Cris Johnson (Nicolas Cage) was born with a special gift to see two minutes into the future and change it to suit himself. Unwilling to attract attention to his ability, he works as a magician with the stage name of Frank Cadillac, performing third-rate shows in Las Vegas and living off "winnings" on slot machines. Unfortunately for Cris, both casino security and the FBI somehow learn of his power and want to take advantage of it. The casino bosses want him to rob the house. FBI agent Callie Ferris (Julianne Moore) wants him to thwart the detonation of a nuclear device in Los Angeles. Cris, however, wants nothing to do with the former and the latter. The reason is that his love interest is Liz Cooper (Jessica Biel), a seductive schoolteacher, who is inexplicably linked to this bomb scheme, and he is not about to jeopardize a promising affair with the girl of his dreams. |
