Small-time crime boss Joe Cabot (Lawrence Tierney) assembles a gang of professional criminals, who are strangers to each other, to commit an armed robbery of a jewelry store. It is supposed to be the perfect crime. But the plan collapses when the police suddenly arrive at the time and the scene of the crime. Thus the routine heist turns bloody. Two of the crew members are killed, one of them is seriously wounded. When the remaining criminals gather at the premeditated rendezvous point, at an abandoned warehouse, they come to realize that one of them is an undercover police officer and try to figure out the betrayer. |

Detective Nick Curren (Michael Douglas), conducting the criminal investigation of a rock star murder, is to interrogate the suspect - Catherine Tramell (Sharon Stone), the woman writer who is a famous authoress of her shocking novels. She is blonde, bisexual, seductive, suspective and obviously dangerous - as well as invulnerable to all attempts to accuse her of the murder. But one of her novels contains the description of the same murder. Besides, Tramell was a lover of the killed guy, and what is more, his breathless body was found on the bed which was evidently a place of a hot sexual battle. Curren finds himself slowly involved into the web of Catherine's intrigue; he can only guess at her guilt. Is he doomed to be the hero of her next novel?
The soundtrack by Jerry Goldsmith completes the striking thriller. |

Notwithstanding the title, this movie contains less of sensuality then you might think. This film is about a retired, depressive and unfriendly colonel, who had lost his sight and thinks that life has no sense anymore. He wants to take the last breath of life - to meet and talk with his brother, then to put up at a hotel, to sleep over with a beautiful woman - and then to commit suicide. This film clearly shows us, how important is to take trouble about a lonely, depressed person: such sympathy and compassion can save him from death. A young lad (Chris O'Donnell) hires to look after the seek, infirm people; this fellow tries to hearten the colonel, to find the words which could return the hope and optimism to the retired blind man. One should remember, that the best things any man can ever have are compassion, hope and friendship. One of the most succesful roles of Al Pacino. |

This adult-oriented tale continues the story of Batman (Kiton) - a superhero who tries now to rid the dull and gothic-looking Gotham City of the evil Penguin (Danny DeVito). Sexual component of the film is CatWoman (Michelle Pfeiffer) who uses her long black whip even better than the famous adventurer Indiana Jones. US Box office of the film exceeds 150 million dollars, so the picture can be called a high-grade one also because of its visual effects, make-up and everything (but the story seems naive a lot in some moments). But, nevertheless, this screen comic is suitable for all family to see. At the final minutes of film, DeVito's Penguin looks even pity: he is a monster, but he's undoubtedly unhappy creature. |

This screen interpretation of vampire literature classic is the most well-known and, more to say, brilliant one. Set in London, this spectacular picture closely follows the book, but is even more dramatic. This eye-catching movie tells about Johnathan (Keanu Reeves) and Mina (Wynona Ryder), young pair which soon will face the ancient vampire - count Dracula (Gary Oldmen). When John heads to Transylvania for the business travel, he has to communicate with the famous Count and the monster accidentally sees John's medallion with the picture of Mina. This film is not simply an eye-candy due to its exquisite visual aesthetics, but it is also a profound story, which tells what it takes to be an immortal monster... and to love forever, hopelessly. |

The town of Big Whisky is full of normal people trying to lead quiet lives. Cowboys try to make a living. Sheriff 'Little Bill' tries to build a house and keep a heavy-handed order. The town whores just try to get by.Then a couple of cowboys cut up a whore. Unsatisfied with Bill's justice, the prostitutes put a bounty on the cowboys. The bounty attracts a young gun billing himself as 'The Schofield Kid', and aging killer William Munny. Munny reformed for his young wife, and has been raising crops and two children in peace. But his wife is gone. Farm life is hard. And Munny is no good at it. So he calls his old partner Ned, saddles his ornery nag, and rides off to kill one more time, blurring the lines between heroism and villainy, man and myth. |

A rock group arrives onboard of the Missouri battleship which is soon to be decommissioned, and the party is to be held to celebrate the occassion. But several nuclear missiles still are on the ship; it turns out to be that the rockers are none other than disguised terrorists, and these guys do their best to take control over Missouri. Captain is killed, Government turns upside-down as the mercenaries begin to threaten with the nuclear attack. But onboard is Casey Ryback (Steven Seagal). He is a cook, but his military skills are not forgotten, moreover, his tactics and strategy can destroy every one of his foes. Captain was his good friend, so the terrorists are doomed all to a man. Somewhere onboard hides a Playboy's supermodel, which was to perform a strip-dance during the celebration; she is also to be rescued and taught how to make an explosive using a common cocoa butter and other (at first site harmless) components. This action thriller became a classic of the genre. |

This enjoyable, light-hearted thriller revolves around a team of experts who specialize in testing security systems for high powered companies. "Wayne's World" catches the attention of handsome TV network executive Ben Oliver who wants "Wayne's World" on his television network in downtown Chicago and sponsored by billionaire Noah Vandahoff, one of the largest owners in the arcade business. With "Wayne's World" now on a Prime Time TV network, Wayne and Garth find themselves moving up big time and Wayne finds himself falling in love with Cassandra Wong, a Chinese-American lead singer of a heavy metal band. But Ben has a hidden agenda and plans on ruining their show and he bids to steal Cassandra from Wayne if Wayne and Garth do not make a success in making "Wayne's World" #1 in the TV ratings. Wayne and Garth finds the show isn't the same and Wayne plans to help Cassandra make it big time with her career. |

It begins with morning, natural landscapes and people at prayer: volcanoes, water falls, veldts, and forests; several hundred monks do a monkey chant. Indigenous peoples apply body paint; whole villages dance. The film moves to destruction of nature via logging, blasting, and strip mining. Images of poverty, rapid urban life, and factories give way to war, concentration camps, and mass graves. Ancient ruins come into view, and then a sacred river where pilgrims bathe and funeral pyres burn. Prayer and nature return. A monk rings a huge bell; stars wheel across the sky. |
