A former L.A. drug dealer (Thomas Jane) has moved to Houston to make a new life for himself as a married architect. Everything falls apart when he is suddenly visited by one of his former cohorts (Aaron Eckhart) who comes carrying heroin. Discovering the dope, the architect flushes it down the drain. This sets up a series of tough customers seeking the dope including a rasta hitman (Glenn Plummer), an ex-lover (Paulina Porizkova) who ties up and rapes James, a criminal (James LeGros) with a penchant for torture, and a rogue cop (Mickey Rourke). Michael Jeter also appears as a psychologist from an adoption agency where the couple is seeking to adopt a child. |

Robby is stood up at the altar by Linda, who decides that the prospect of marrying a guy who sings at wedding receptions doesn't equal the attraction she felt when he was lead singer in a rock band. Robby finds consolation in his friendship with Julia, a waitress at the wedding receptions and bar mitzvahs where he performs. Julia asks Robby to help her plan her upcoming wedding to Glenn, who isn't interested in the details of the ceremony. Robby learns that Glenn also isn't totally interested in Julia and is marrying her because she "deserves it" after sticking with him for years and because he knows she's not marrying him for his money, since she dated him back before he started pulling down the big bucks. |

After five years of chasing paranormal activity, the X-Files are closed by the government. Special FBI agents Mulder (David Duchovny) and Scully (Gillian Anderson) now do the "down to earth" work. When a bomb threatens the Dallas Federal Building, Mulder and Scully locate the device but are unable to prevent the explosion. After the bomb destroys the building, Mulder soon learns that the destruction of the building was the work of the government... Deadly secret buried in a cave in Texas is being unleashed, mankind is under the deadly virus threat. Meanwhile, Mulder gets more and more information confirming his suspicions about the veiled alien activity on Earth and the secret, international cabal of men protecting those mysteries.

Three American college grads, John Volgecherev (Vince Vaughn), Tony Croft (David Conrad), and Lewis McBride (Joaquin Phoenix), meet by chance and decide to spend their vacation together in Penang, Malaysia. The exotic island, hot women, drinks and drugs - life in paradise! When the exciting vacation is over, John and Tony come back home to the United States, but Lewis goes to Borneo so as to dedicate himself to the study of tropical fauna. But some time later Lewis ends up arrested by local police who found a large quantity of hashish in the bungalow the buddies had rented. According to the Law of Malaysia, an over-limit amount of drug is classified as distribution; therefore Lewis is threatened with the death penalty. If John and Tony return and share the blame, the death sentence will be reduced to jail time. |

Homicide detective John Hobbes (Denzel Washington) tracked down serial killer Edgar Reese (Elias Koteas) and sentenced him to die in the gas chamber. Before the execution Reese grasped Hobbes' hand and sang the Rolling Stones' "Time Is on My Side." In a word, he behaved himself arrogantly as though he was going for an enjoyable outing. But soon afterwards John Hobbes was greatly puzzled by a new series of demonic crimes committed in Reese’s style as if he was alive. Thanks to a chance meeting with theology professor, Gretta Milano (Embeth Davidtz), Hobbes found a clue to the murder mysteries. The slayings appeared to have been arranged by Azazel, a fallen angel, who had the ability to inhabit human bodies, making them to kill.

He decides to risk eternity in Hades for the small chance that he will be able to bring her back to heaven. This is a beautiful story that reminds us that love is stronger than death. |

When Casey and Delilah have to hide in a closet in the teacher's lounge, they witness the strangulation of Nurse Harper by two of them. Shocked, they manage to flee. In 1638 Queen Anne of France gives Birth to a boy, who will inherit the throne one day. But, only known to few, there is a twin brother born minutes later. 22 years later, King Louis XIV rules the country of France, but due to his lifestyle and the costs of war, people are forced to suffer hunger and poverty. Of the Musketeers, who had served his father Louis XIII faithfully, only one is still on the king's side: D'Artagnan, the Capitain of the king's guards. His three companions Aramis, Athos and Porthos have retired into civil life long ago. One day on a royal party, the young and unliked king gets a crush on Christine. This young lady is the fiancé of soldier Raoul, the son of Athos. Without further ado, the king has Raoul recruited and sent to war, so that he himself can take care of her. Soon Raoul dies in combat and the king has him out of the way. But Athos, Aramis and Porthos think of a plan to take revenge on the king. Aramis points out that there is a man in an iron mask in a very secure prison, and that this man's existance can solve all present problems. So they free the king's hidden twin brother, and tell him who he is, as he of course feels free of guilt and has no idea whatsoever why he was imprisoned for 6 years with this mask forged around his head. The plan now is to replace the evil king with his brother at a masquerade party held soon. Only D'Artagnan still is guarding the king and so he has to turn against his old friends... |
