One of these androids is David (Haley Joel Osment), a 12-year-old boy programmed to love and adopted by a Cybertronics employee, Henry Swinton (Sam Robards), and his wife, Monica (Frances O'Connor). David’s appearance and behaviour is not different from other kids. Even his love to the adoptive parents is quite real. One day David realizes that to be a human being is something totally different than to be a robot. Lewis Thomas (Paul Walker) takes an opportunity to start an affair with Venna Wilcox (Leelee Sobieski), the girl of his dreams. He buys a jitney and sets out on a road trip to Colorado to pick Venna up at college. On the way, he detours to Salt Lake City to bail his ill-starred older brother, Fuller Thomas (Steve Zahn), out of jail. During their trip fun-loving Fuller decides to play a CB-radio trick on a trucker with a gruff voice which makes your flesh creep. Fuller convinces Lewis to pretend to be a female trucker named "Candy Cane" and make a rendezvous with "Rusty Nail" (Ted Levine) at the motel. The joke works well, and the dudes giggle at the lovelorn trucker. However, they are unaware that foolish pranks may be fraught with grave consequences. |

The biopic follows the life and career of legendary boxer Muhammad Ali (Will Smith) also known as ‘The Greatest’. He was the only boxer to become the world’s heavyweight champion three times. He was born in 1942 and was called Cassius Clay. When in 1954 somebody stole his new bike, Ali couldn’t stand up for himself, so he went to a gym to learn how to fight. Ali trained six days a week and was soon really good at running, skipping and, of course, boxing. In 1964 Clay converted to Islam and changed his name to Muhammad Ali. The movie depicts his rise and fall in sports and politics, including forfeiture of his boxing license and championship title for his principled refusal to serve in the military during the Vietnam War and his comeback battles against Joe Frazier and George Foreman. |

Gene Hackman plays the brilliant leader of a gang (Delroy Lindo, Ricky Jay & Rebecca Pigeon as Hackman's youngish wife), which pulls off complex heists for a despicable fence (Danny DeVito). After stiffing the gang on a jewelry robbery, DeVito forces the gang to go after a Swiss gold shipment and to use his nephew (Sam Rockwell) in the crime. No one trusts anyone and every step is shaded with the unexpected. |
