Former Special Forces operative Dean Cage (Wesley Snipes) has the misfortune to be mistaken for another Special Forces agent. He is abducted by intelligence officers and injected with a mind-controlling drug that allows them to create images in his mind and manipulate his actions. Though Dean manages to escape from his enemies, he experiences hallucinations. In his intoxicated state of consciousness he finds himself fighting on the battlefield, and this makes him unpredictable and dangerous. Only Detective Amy Knight (Jacqueline Obradors) knows what is happening to her best pal. Dean’s life depends on her decisive action: she must find an antidote at whatever cost, or the drug will kill him in six hours. |

Paul, a school teacher (Greg Kinnear) and his wife Jessica (Rebecca Romijn-Stamos) are distraught after losing their eight-year-old son David in an accident. Dr. Richard Wells (Robert DeNiro) approaches with the incredible and illegal offer to clone Adam, essentially bringing back their boy and reuniting their broken family. After much soul searching, the grieving couple accept Wells' proposal, and, shortly afterward, the new Adam is born. He is seemingly identical to the original Adam and his live and manners are similar to his predecessor until a series of night terrors disturbs him... at the morning of his eighth birthday. Eventually, disturbing differences begin to emerge, Adam's sweetness gradually changes to ill temper. Paul and Jessie discover that Dr. Wells is not a pediatrician, but a geneticist, and that their Faustian pact was a possible mistake. |

The film follows the storyline of the book closely: Dr Frankenstein creates a human (Luke Goss) from the parts of different corpses and the monster is given with a mind of his own. Notwithstanding the creature seems to be superior to his creator in some ways, the creation turns on the creator when it turns out to be that the world is unable to recognize the creation's humanity. |
