Lucas is a ten-year kid whose family has just moved to a new town, and he is having troubles with the local bullies. Tired from it, the boy looks for someone he can push around - and he soon finds a way to take out his frustration on the ants living in his lawn. Tired of weathering constant attacks on their colony, ants shrink Lucas to their size and sentence him to live among them until he learns the errors of his ways through some labour-therapy. Lucas realizes how a world he never knew existed lives and soon joins forces with his new friends to struggle against an exterminator (Paul Giamatti) who threatens their colony. This suspenseful drama tells the story of Cleveland Heep (Paul Giamatti), an apartment building superintendent in Philadelphia, who one night finds a mysterious naked woman swimming in the pool. She has come from the Blue World to warn mankind of a race of deadly wolf-type creatures that hide in the dark corners of the condominium, waylaying their victims. This contest is being conducted by Antoni and Vivien, who are the publisher and editor of the most prestigious wedding magazine in the UK named Confetti. The couples are Joseph and Isabelle, an addicted tennis enthusiasts, wanting a tennis-themed wedding; Michael and Joanna are a naturist couple going to pass their marriage without any clothes; and the third couple are Matt and Sam wanting their nuptials musically-themed. All the dialogue in this British comedy was improvised by the movie cast during the filming. Successful property developer Liam O'Leary (Brendan Gleeson) lives with his trophy wife Jane (Kim Cattrall) and his adolescent son Connor (Brian Gleeson) in a huge mansion in Dublin, Ireland.
